Jonas Kaufmann will play a concert on August 18, 2022 at Waldbühne Berlin. All information about the concert, tickets and screening.
With a musical tribute to Italy, Jonas Kaufmann charmed the audience at his concert in Berlin’s Waldbühne in the summer of 2018. Kaufmann now returns in 2022 with a new program.
What can fans expect?
Accompanied by the German State Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jochen Rieder, Jonas Kaufmann and world-famous soprano singer Rachel Willis-Sørensen, they will present Verdi and Puccini’s arias and duets, as well as hits from operettas and sound film hits from the 1920s and 1930s. There will be “E lucevan le stelle”, “Nessun dorma”, but also tenor hits such as “You are the world to me” or “Somewhere in the world”.
Corona: The original dates had to be postponed
The Berlin concert was originally scheduled for August 6, 2021. As this date could not be held, the concert was postponed to August 18, 2022.
The organizer said to the fans: “Alegria Konzert, Semmel Concerts and Jonas Kaufmann hope that with this step we will provide all visitors to our concerts with the planning and security necessary to be able to enjoy the concert without fear. “

Where will Jonas Kaufmann play?
The open-air concert will be held in Waldbühne (Glockenturmstraße 1, 14053 Berlin). The open-air stage offers a permanent space for approximately 22,000 spectators. In accordance with the regulations in force, taking into account the hygiene and distance regulations in force, about 5,000 guests take place in the stadium.

What’s the best way to get to Waldbühne?
Fans wishing to attend the concert should leave their car where it is best: the number of parking spaces around Waldbühne is limited. Plus, there can be a long wait when leaving after a concert. Even those coming from outside should park their car on the outskirts or in the city center and take the metro (U2, Olympiastadion stop), bus (M49 or 218, Ragniter Allee stop or Scholzplatz) or S-Bahn (S5, Pichelsberg stop) change.
What can you bring to Waldbühne?
One non-alcoholic drink is allowed per person in a plastic bottle or tetra-pack up to a maximum of 0.5 liters. In addition, seat cushions and blankets as well as a bag or backpack up to DIN A4 (20×30 centimeters). It is possible to bring the necessary medical devices and medicines with the appropriate ID through the wheelchair access (on the right side of the main entrance). Bags and backpacks larger than DIN A4 are not allowed, all kinds of bulky items such as suitcases, baskets, helmets, prams, umbrella poles, selfie sticks etc., food and snacks and technical equipment such as notebooks, tablets, videos, pictures and sound recorders, except mobile phones.
