MARKTE EUROPA / DAX increases profits – the highest level in 5 weeks | News

FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) – European stock markets continue to increase their gains through Friday afternoon. The DAX is increasing by 0.7 percent to 14,333 points, so it is higher than it was in 5 weeks. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose by 0.9 percent to 3,773 points. However, trade is scarce and many market participants are indulging in a bridging day. In Denmark, the stock market will remain fully closed, as will Wall Street on Monday due to Memorial Day.

“The willingness to take risks is increasing,” says one market participant. Robomarkets’ Jrgen Molnar attributes the recovery to two main reasons: First, the minutes of the last US Federal Reserve meeting at which it announced a “cautious” monetary tightening continue to bear fruit. It also addresses the easing of lockdowns in China: “If easing happens quickly now, it should alleviate the current tight supply problem,” says a capital market strategist.

Euro and bonds more or less maintain the last premiums on Friday. In the afternoon, the US is due to release spending and personal income for April, followed by a second University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Survey for May.

Contributing to the rise in prices are the recent shocks in the technology sector and the shares of everyday consumer goods producers, which have also fallen sharply. Your Stoxx industry indices gain up to 2 percent.

On the other hand, they give shares of energy suppliers as well as shares of the oil and gas industry. You lose about 1 percent. The UK passed a 25% offshore oil and gas energy tax on Thursday, raising the overall tax rate for companies operating in the industry from 40% to 65%.

Vonovia recovers – Goldman rises

In the DAX index, Vonovia recovered by 2.8 percent to EUR 35.03. The title had suffered a lot recently from rising profits and was almost halved from September’s high. Goldman Sachs has now lowered its target price to € 47, according to dealers, but the house has affirmed the property title as “buy with conviction.”

Siemens Healthineers and Infineon are growing at a similar pace. At the top of the list is Sartorius, who recovers 3.4 percent.

On the losing side, RWE and Eon stand out with discounts of around 1.6%. Henkel relinquished 1.2%, Jefferies slashed chemical company’s stock to hold buy.

With a slight increase of almost 0.2 percent. VW’s share is also lagging behind DAX. According to a report in Manager Magazin, software problems in the VW group can cost more time and money than previously assumed. According to the report, an internal analysis by the management consultancy McKinsey shows that model changes and additional costs are more serious than we believe.

In the third row, Auto1 broke 6.6 percent. up to 9.90 euro. JP Morgan downgraded the stock from neutral to underweight and lowered its target price to $ 9.50 from $ 13.00.

Rieter under pressure with Earnings Warning

In Zurich, Rieter shares fell 1.4 percent after the gains were warned. The company expects a difficult first half of 2022, despite an exceptionally large backlog of orders. Baader analysts lowered the vote to “Decrease” after “Add” and lowered the target price to CHF 105. They also cut their estimate of EBIT for the current year by almost half.
