Wittgenstein kicks off the summer vacation with a huge pool party

Bad Berleburg / Wittgenstein.
There should be a lot of fun in and out of the water. Much has been planned for the holiday kick-off party and there is a “plan B” in case it rains.

On holiday – in cool water: The great holiday starts with a great party at the KNAX pool in Rothaarbad in Bad Berleburg – for all the municipalities of Wittgenstein. For the first time since 2019, the six weeks without school lessons start right again. “We want to give all students a great start to their holidays. And make sure the big break can happen in any case, ”Julia Bade from Bad Berleburg’s municipal youth welfare office explained during a presentation of the program. Because the people in charge issued “a guarantee of nice weather”.

Free admission for anyone under 18 years of age

If the beginning of the holiday season on Friday 24 June from 11am to 6pm is rainy, the party will take place in the indoor pool. “Of course we hope we can be in the outdoor pool, but that way we definitely have plan B in our pockets,” said Julia Bade significantly.

The only variable is the weather

So the only variable is the weather, which this time ultimately has a limited impact on the big event. Because there are no limits – good news after the pool party had to be canceled twice recently due to Corona. “Pool party is unlimited due to Corona guidelines. Wearing a face mask at the event is voluntary, Manuel Spies explained. The anticipation of the pool party was also felt in the operations manager of Rothaarbad – and therefore he immediately issued a “nice weather guarantee”: “We provide infrastructure both inside and outside, with free admission and a constant water temperature of 26 degrees Celsius in the outdoor area of the pool. So no one really has to get cold. “
