Finally, swimming again without having to book slots or tickets online in advance: Where is a visit to the outdoor swimming pool especially enjoyable?

Small and cute, large with a wave pool, fun jumping or fun on the water slide: there are plenty of outdoor pools for every taste in the Ludwigsburg district. Some are also easily accessible by public transport, while others require a car or bicycle. What are the entrance fees? Overview – and an invitation to discover other pools than the known ones.

Hoheneck outdoor pool: The Neckar outdoor pool with three pools – including a new children’s pool – is located in the Hoheneck district of Ludwigsburg. There is a wide slide in the non-swimmer pool. Badepark Ellental in Bietigheim-Bissingen: The longest self-supporting slide in southern Germany (158 meters) is located in the outdoor swimming pool. There is also a wave pool and a diving pool and four other pools including a warm pool with massage jets and air bubble bench and a 50 meter swimming pool. Admission: A day ticket in the bathing pool costs 6 euros (concessionary 4 euros), after work you have to pay 4 or 2 euros.

Asperg outdoor pool: Popular swimming pool at the foot of the Hohenasperg, reachable in a few minutes with the S-Bahn. It has a non-swimmer swimming pool with an 84-meter slide, a wild water canal and a jacuzzi, as well as a 50-meter swimming pool with a trampoline and a paddling pool for small children. Admission: 5 euro for a day ticket (concessionary 3 euro). From 5 p.m., the post-work rate (3 euro) applies.



Outdoor pool in Oberstenfeld: The outdoor mineral pool, recognized as the most popular outdoor pool in Germany in 2019, is hard to beat when it comes to slides: there is a steep slide, a 100 meter giant slide, a family slide, a children’s slide and a mini slide. The 50-meter pool is suitable for competitions, and the small wellness area is bordered by a non-swimmer pool. Admission: Adults pay 5.80 euro, reduced ticket costs 3 euro. The evening price is just as expensive.

Steinheim Wellarium: Visitors can stretch out on the nearly 30,000 m2 sunbathing lawn in the outdoor mineral pool and enjoy plenty of water fun in several pools – for example, the adventure pool with a flow-through channel, the slide with long and wide slides or the wave pool . The wellarium also acquires a 50-meter swimming pool and a jumping tower. Admission: 5.50 euros (concessions 3 euros), evening rate 3.50 euros.

Mundelsheim outdoor pool: Family pool with a 25-meter lane directly above the Neckar. From the pools you can see the surrounding vineyards. Admission: A day ticket costs 4 euros (reduced 2.50 euros). The wage after work is also 2.50 euro.

Schlossfreibad Sachsenheim: The pool is managed by the association and is located in the middle of the Großsachsenheim Castle Park. The meadow offers a lot of space to relax, children can relax in the stainless steel paddling pool, swimmers in the sports pool. Admission: Single tickets cost 4.50 euros (from 6 p.m. 2.70 euros), young people 2.50 euros (1.50 euros in the evening).

Outdoor swimming pool in Vaihingen an der Enz: Enztalbad is an indoor and outdoor pool rolled into one. Athletes have fun in the 50-meter swimming pool, there is a separate paddling pool and water channel for small children. Admission: A day ticket costs 3.50 euro (reduced 2 euro)

Loechgau outdoor pool: There is also a nice outdoor swimming pool in the little Löchgau with beautiful green areas, a swimming pool and a paddling pool for children. Adults pay 3.30 euro, reduced admission costs 2 euro.

Outdoor pool in Eberdingen: There is also a small outdoor swimming pool in the municipality of Eberdingen: it is idyllically situated in the Strudelbach valley and has a swimming pool with a non-swimmer section and a toddlers’ pool.
