Company research shows that more and more companies across Germany rely on 3D technology for production and products. Over 28% of the surveyed companies want to use their chance in the future thanks to innovative technologies. This is also due to the innovative efforts of the federal government. For example, funds for innovative technologies are widely available. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy wants to use this to encourage German companies to open up to new R&D ideas and to master the comparison with international competition.

Anyone who decides to buy, for example, a 3D printer, receives a maximum subsidy of EUR 100,000. The payout depends on the number of employees and investments. Some Länder, including Baden-Württemberg, support their companies individually and increase the share of leaders to an additional 20% to 50%.
