CEWE: 13th consecutive dividend increase

  • The Annual General Meeting decides to increase the dividend to EUR 2.35 per share
  • All proposed agenda items were approved by a large majority

Oldenburg, June 15, 2022 The Annual General Meeting of CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA (SDAX, ISIN: DE 0005403901), held online today due to Corona, endorsed all proposed agenda items by a large majority. The dividend per share increases to EUR 2.35 (previous year: EUR 2.30). The company’s shareholders will therefore benefit from the thirteenth consecutive dividend increase. The dividend yield based on the current price (EUR 81.60, Xetra closing price on June 14, 2022) is 2.9%. The excellent position of the company, high earnings in the core business of photofinishing and a very good overall financial situation allow us to pay a higher dividend for the thirteenth consecutive year. We are very proud that CEWE is one of the few German companies that has been able to show a steadily increasing dividend for so many years, explains Dr. Christian Friege, CEO of CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA.

Uninterrupted dividend payment since the stock exchange debut and the thirteenth consecutive increase in dividends
Based on the good results of the financial year 2021, CEWE managed to increase the dividend for the thirteenth time in a row. Since paying the first dividend after its IPO in 1993, CEWE has been paying dividends to its shareholders without interruption, and with the successful completion of the analog-to-digital transformation, it is now the 13th consecutive time, even with dividends rising. CEWE actively encourages its own employees to participate in the company: Good eight out of ten CEWE employees already own shares in the company and thus benefit from the company’s development. The presentation of the Management Board and detailed voting results of the Annual General Meeting are available on the Company’s website at https://ir.cewe.de/agm.

The CEWE Group is a leading European provider of online photo and printing services.

From its beginnings in 1912, CEWE has become the premier photo service address for anyone wanting to get more out of their photos. This is particularly evident in the award-winning CEWE PHOTOBOOK, which sells over six million copies each year. Customers can receive further personalized photography products, for example under the CEWE, WhiteWall and Cheerz brands, as well as from many leading European retailers. In these worlds, brands are inspired to come up with various creative designs related to their personal photos and entrust the company with over 2 billion photos each year.

In addition, the CEWE Group has launched a high-performance advertising and business products production plant for the still young printing market. Billions of high-quality printing products reliably reach customers every year through the SAXOPRINT, LASERLINE and viaprinto sales platforms.

The CEWE Group is also committed to sustainable business management with the Neumüller founding family as main shareholder and has already received several awards for this: Economically oriented; long-term; in partnership and fairness with customers, employees and suppliers; socially responsible as well as environmentally and resource-friendly.
