Lower Saxony: The Robert Koch Institute reports 19,875 new infections
This The Robert Koch Institute registered 19,875 new cases of coronation in Lower Saxony. The seven-day incidence is therefore 921.5 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. Yesterday the value of 825.7 was released.
Long Covid: A small offer for those affected in Hamburg
Affected people are chronically exhausted and can no longer concentrate: these are just two symptoms of Long Covid sufferers. But they often only find help in self-help groups – not doctors, criticizes the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband in Hamburg. It’s no wonder that self-help groups for long-standing Covid sufferers are mushrooming across Germany, says Kristin Alheit, managing director of the Paritätisches in Hamburg. Next on the medical side, knowledge about a reliable diagnosis is often still lacking, especially in terms of appropriate therapies.
RKI: seven-day incidence in Hamburg by 707.2
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports for Hamburg 4,480 new cases and an incidence of 707.2 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week. Yesterday the incidence was reported at 611.9.
BGH deals with the cancellation of the trip in the event of the outbreak of the crown
The Federal Court of Justice (BGH) is dealing today with a dispute over a canceled package tour during a pandemic. The best civil judges hear the case of a man who booked a trip to Japan for over € 6,000 in April 2020. On March 1, he withdrew from his trip due to Corona’s deteriorating situation and paid 25 percent of the price as cancellation costs. However, at the end of March, they were banned from entering Japan, so the man was not allowed to travel at all. Now he is demanding a refund of the cancellation fee from the organizer, the Munich supplier. By law, the tour operator may claim “reasonable compensation” if the customer withdraws early. This is not only the case when “unavoidable, extraordinary circumstances” significantly affect the journey. The Munich district court agreed with the plaintiff, but the district court decided otherwise. BGH must now revise its verdict. The main question is whether further constraints from the pandemic could have been foreseen as early as early March. It is not known whether BGH will announce its verdict today.
RKI: Nationwide prevalence increases to 635.8
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) now reports a nationwide seven-day prevalence of 635.8. Yesterday, the value of new infections per 100 thousand. residents and week was 591.9 (previous week: 458.5; previous month: 209.4). Health authorities in Germany recently reported 142,329 new corona infections (previous week: 123,097) and 113 deaths (previous week: 182) in one day to the RKI.
A note on current country data: The incidence values do not give the full picture of the infection situation. Experts have assumed for some time that there will be a large number of cases unrecorded by the RKI – mainly because not all infected people have had a PCR test done so far. Only positive PCR tests are included in official statistics. Moreover, late registrations or transmission problems can lead to distortions of individual daily values.
Schleswig-Holstein: 6,940 new cases of coronation reported
In Schleswig-Holstein, 6,940 new corona infections were reported. On Tuesday, a week ago, there were 6,604 new cases. The seven-day incidence of new infections per 100,000 population in SH is now 894.9. The week before the value was 747.4 – but last Friday also 907.4. The counties of Rendsburg-Eckernförde (1311.7), Kiel (1293.6) and Flensburg (1148.6) recorded the highest seven-day cases. North Friesland County had the lowest incidence at 577.9. Three more deaths have been reported since Friday. According to information, 394 people were treated in domestic hospitals in connection with the coronavirus – a week ago there were significantly fewer – 286. In the intensive care unit there were 26 patients with a crown, 10 of which were ventilated.
