DKSH participation: takeover of Georg Breuer GmbH!

The DKSH Performance Materials business unit has signed an agreement to acquire Georg Breuer GmbH (GBFI), a German distributor of herbal ingredients for the food industry. This transaction is in line with DKSH’s strategy aimed at increasing the reach of the European market and extending the scope of value-added services.

DKSH has signed an agreement to acquire GBFI, a supplier of functional ingredients for the food industry. Founded in 1992, the company is headquartered in Königstein / Taunus, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany.


Sustainable food solutions

GBFI offers sustainable food solutions with an emphasis on vegan, organic and gluten-free products, as well as reducing salt and sugar. GBFI also provides its customers with value-added services including research and development, application customization, and technical and regulatory support.

With this acquisition, DKSH is expanding its food ingredient business in Europe, particularly in the promising segment of healthy plant-based foods. The acquisition also complements the Victa Foods acquisition signed earlier this year. GBFI has a lean organization with 17 highly qualified employees.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022.
