What you need to know about the Deichkind concert in Dresden
Is my concert ticket still valid? Are there any more tickets for Deichkind am Elbufer? When is the party? And what items am I not allowed to bring? The most important answers to Friday’s concert.
Dresden. Many Dresden fans have probably never had to wait that long for a concert by the Hamburg band Deichkind: due to the crown pandemic, the concert originally scheduled for July 25, 2020 during the Elbe Movie Night was only postponed for a year to July 24, 2021 and eventually moved on to this Friday.
Now the long wait is over – and some concert-goers probably still have a question or two in front of the great Remmi-Demmi on the Elbe. We answer them in this article at a glance.
Are the old tickets for Deichkind’s Dresden concert still valid?
Good news for everyone who has already bought tickets to the Deichkind concert for 2020 and ultimately had to wait two years longer than expected for the performance: tickets are valid, owners don’t have to do anything else, they just come with their old Friday tickets to the concert.
As the new date should obviously not suit everyone, Eventim proposes to reverse the tickets. There is a return form on the website for this purpose. For this, the barcode of the tickets and the personal details of the owner are required, and then the money will be refunded.
Are there still tickets for Deichkind for the movie nights?
Despite the long lead time, there are still a few tickets available for the Deichkind concert on Friday. You can buy them at Eventim for 50.45 euro. The number of tickets is limited to six per customer. You can get them by express delivery (for orders placed before 2 p.m.) or simply download them to your mobile phone or print them at home.
If you don’t get anything here shortly before the show, you can still get lucky with the Eventim ticket swap – here fans sell their tickets privately.
When is the admission to the Deichkind concert in Dresden?
In the end, one thing hasn’t changed despite the Deichkind Open Air postponement twice: the show started at 20:00. If you are looking forward or want to secure the best spots right away, you can come to the site from 18:00.
What’s the best way to get to the banks of the Elbe?
The most convenient way to get to the banks of the Elbe is by tram – with the exception of bicycles, directly via the Elberadweg. Lines 3, 7 and 8 go to “Carolaplatz”, from there you go towards Carolabrücke and then turn right down to the Filmnachte directly on the Elbe. Lines 4 and 9 lead to “Neustädter Markt”. Then only a few meters to the concert venue.
If you are arriving by car, you may have to look for a parking space for a while. Several parking spaces are available at Wiesentorstraße, Sarrasanistraße and Theresienstraße. People with physical disabilities can use the car park of the Ministry of Finance at Wiesentorstrasse. There are 20 parking spaces for them. Access is on the path above the Königsufer in Carolabrücke, then please report to the staff.
What else do I have to consider during the concert?
The organizer of the Landstreicher-Konzerte points out that admission to the concert with backpacks and bags is forbidden, “because intensive controls delay the admission of all concert guests”. This rule excludes small gym bags, jute bags and handbags (smaller than A4). Bulky items such as umbrellas, iPads, cameras with interchangeable lenses and selfie sticks are also prohibited.
On the Film Night page itself, you can also find out that you can save yourself taking cash with you for the night – you can only pay without cash anyway. In addition to EC and credit cards, these also include Film Nights, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
