AOC | Stadtentwicklung GmbH, specialist in the concept, implementation and revitalization of residential and commercial projects in central and northern Germany, yesterday celebrated the traditional topping out ceremony at the Becker³ construction site in the Neulindenau district of Leipzig in the presence of key project participants and numerous invited guests.
The topping out on Beckerstrasse 3 is now another milestone in the development of the barrier-free district consisting of three residential buildings with a total of 100 privately financed rental apartments. The owner will be the subsidiary FG Wohninvest Deutschland SCS SICAV-SIF, advised by Fundamenta Group Deutschland AG. Completion is planned for the first quarter of next year.
As of April 2021, AOC is building a total of 7,700 square meters of living space in an outstanding urban location near Lindenauer Hafen. The wide selection of high-quality furnished two- or four-room apartments ranging in size from approximately 50 to 116 square meters with balcony, loggia or terrace appeals to all generations and income groups, thus ensuring a lively mix in the quarter.
All buildings meet the KfW 55 energy standard. The focal point of Becker³ is the attractively planted courtyard which, with seating and entertainment, contributes to a high quality of life on site while promoting the neighborhood.
In times of supply bottlenecks and a shortage of skilled workers, it is not obvious: the construction work on the Becker³ was completed on schedule. AOC Managing Director Till Schwerdtfeger explains: “All our industries are closely intertwined. As a result, we can guarantee the buyers and users of our properties a high level of planning, cost and scheduling security, even in the current volatile situation. “
A special feature of Becker³ is the parking concept: 202 bicycle parking spaces include 53 underground parking spaces and six external car parking spaces, a ratio of more than 3: 1 or two bicycle parking spaces per apartment.
Andrea Meisel, Project Development Manager at AOC, emphasizes: “Modern living must meet the requirements of modern mobility. In an urban and close to nature neighborhood such as Neulindenau, the bicycle plays an important role. Therefore, it has a high priority for us in the context of the development of this project, without banning the car. As with all our projects, our main focus is on a sustainable, forward-looking property. We see the fact that we can engage in an exciting new part of Leipzig around Lindenau harbor as an encouragement and confirmation. ”
Fundamenta Group Deutschland AG acquired Becker³ from AOC at the end of 2020 for its funded fund “FG Wohninvest Deutschland SCS SICAV-SIF”.
The interior of the building will be finished in the coming months. The first tenants may move in already in the first quarter of 2023.
