Now the next big step is taking place: at the beginning of the 2022/23 fiscal year, Andreas Lapp will hand over the chairmanship to his nephew Matthias Lapp on October 1. At the same time, Siegbert E. Lapp will hand over the position of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board to his current deputy, dr. Hans Schumacher (67) who has been a member of the committee since 2015. At the same time, Andreas Lapp’s daughter Katharina Lapp (24) is appointed to the Supervisory Board. Fathers stand as mentors
When their father, Oskar Lapp, the founder of LAPP, died unexpectedly in 1987, the brothers Siegbert E. and Andreas Lapp took over the responsibility, who from then on ran the company together with their mother Ursula Ida Lapp. For the past 35 years, they have worked together to transform Lapp into a global player and leader in the global connection technology market.
“My brother Andreas and I can look back on a rewarding and successful but also very intense work life. We look forward to making things a little easier starting in October by dedicating ourselves to projects close to our hearts and following Lapp’s success story from the first row, ”says Siegbert E. Lapp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
They both remain closely related to the company as owners and continue to support their children as mentors. “The world of business and work is changing and we trust young minds will guide Lapp through this change. We position ourselves for the future by staying true to our roots, our values and our identity as a family business. We are confident that the third generation, management and all our global employees will lead Lapp into a successful future, ”explains Andreas Lapp.
