The number of new corona infections registered in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has increased by 1,855 cases since Tuesday (as of Wednesday 15:26). That’s 15 more cases than a week ago. The number of deaths since the start of the pandemic is 2,297 (+3).

According to LAGuS data, 3,449,810 doses of the vaccine have been administered in the Northeast so far (as of Monday, July 18). Highest hospitalization rate in the Rostock district

The Rostock district is characterized by the highest frequency of hospitalizations – 9.2. West Pomeranian-Greifswald with a score of 6.8, West Pomeranian-Rügen from 6.7, Northwest Mecklenburg with 5.7, Ludwigslust-Parchim with 5.2, Rostock with 4.8, Mecklenburg Lake District with 4.3 and Schwerin with 4 , 2.

Most new infections in Ludwigslust-Parchim County

The seven-day incidence of new infections nationwide is 593.5 (+0.6). The highest value in northwest Mecklenburg is 736.2 and the lowest in the Mecklenburg Lake District is 492.5. The Ludwigslust-Parchim district reports the most newly infected people with 282 new cases. The next places are West Pomerania-Greifswald (270), Mecklenburg Lake District (263), Rostock district (237), North-West Mecklenburg (235), West Pomerania-Rügen (233), the city of Rostock (205) and Schwerin (130).

Increasing number of new infections in children

LAGuS publishes a report on the condition of the crown among children and adolescents broken down by age groups. According to a report from Wednesday (July 20), there are 49 new infections nationwide among children 0-5 years old, the seven-day incidence of new infections in this group was 232. There were 70 new infections among children aged 6-11 years old. cases, the incidence was 237. In the age group from 12 to 17 years, 68 new infections were recorded, and the incidence was 358.

On Monday, July 18, LAGuS reported 18 active cases of infection (+11) in geriatric care facilities. 78 residents (+47) and 48 employees (+31) are affected. The numbers are reported weekly by LAGuS.
