The Fine Food + Drink symposium with over 120 exhibitors will be held on July 28 and 29, 2022 in Munich. As a dialogue platform for the food industry, the goal is to strengthen the industry and identify opportunities, explains Dr. Ludger Schulze Pals (photo), Managing Director of Feines Essen + Trink GmbH.
Starting position for the future: The Fine Food + Drink Symposium returns after a two-year pandemic break, and this year the two halls will be filled with innovative food and consumer trends. Over 300 industry decision makers are expected as well as over 120 exhibitors – including regional producers, international brands and creative debutants. Together, they initiate a revival of urgently needed personal industry dialogue directly on goods.
During the symposium, high-class speakers from business, commerce and industry will share their expert insights and valuable expertise on the topic of “turning point – new challenges, new responsibilities”. The guest country of Finland provides a lasting boost with many resource-saving fashionable products and new packaging solutions.

At the 2022 symposium, high-level business experts will share valuable specialist knowledge, primarily prof. Marcel Fratzscher, president of the German Institute for Economic Research, in his speech “The economic and energy crisis: threats and opportunities for transformation”.
The following top-class lineups follow: Dr. Gerhard Drexel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Spar Österreichische Warenhandels AG, explains the impact of the groundbreaking changes on the development of retail and brands. Karl-Heinz Land, a visionary, author and expert on digital transformation, shows the potential for the future: “Earth 5.0 – provoke the future”.
Sustainability expert, speaker, author and founder Daniel Anthes will moderate the program, which in addition to lectures includes numerous practical rounds of industry discussions. Many specialists from trade and industry will be there, including Markus Buntz – CEO of the Bünting Group, Michaela Meyer – Director of Sustainability at Edeka Südwest, Julius Palm – Director of Strategy and Brand and Deputy Managing Director of Followfood GmbH and Winfried Rübesam, Managing Director of Fritz- Cultural Goods GmbH. The panel discussions will be moderated by Bettina Röttig and Markus Wörmann from the editorial office of Lebensmittel Praxis.
