The start on Friday evening with the duo “Mahlwerk” from Einbach made it clear: there is a party going on in Waldhausen. Until midnight, you could hear the guests enjoying the music of recent years and decades in tune with the band.
It was just as quiet on Saturday afternoon, when twelve teams competed for the golden “Throne of Games” in a fun competition. Four fun matches were waiting for the teams. AH SVW / FVL, the Schlodies team, FVL and Drama Queens 1b qualified for the final round, with Drama Queens 1b ultimately winning the tournament.
Sunday morning then belonged to the youth footballers who took advantage of the opportunity for the day of the youth match. The Bambins played their tournament against two teams from Schefflenz and SV Schlierstadt. The F-class youth also played in a small tournament against SpVgg Hainstadt and FC Freya Limbach. Then E-Youth from SVW played against SV Schlierstadt, D-Youth against Eintracht 93 Walldürn and C youths against JSG Elztal. All youth matches focused on having a good time with football, not a clean score!
The festival jam-filled lunch tent was enjoyed by SVW and the festival chefs from the “Löwen” inn in Buchen, who live in Waldhausen.
After the youth soccer matches, awards were given to distinguished members of the club of the Baden Football Association, represented by Christoph Walter, deputy chairman and honorary officer of the Buchen soccer district.

Julian Fischer, Simon Haber, Josua Leopold and Johannes Weckbach were awarded the Bronze Football Badge for at least ten years of uninterrupted, exemplary football career with one and the same club in the association. Alexander Arndt, Fabian Henn and Daniel Schellig met the same requirements, albeit for at least 15 years, and were awarded the Silver Player Badge.
Thorsten Fritz has looked after the club’s two grass pitches for over ten years, including the necessary equipment. For this exemplary commitment, Walter honored him with the bronze medal of honor of the association. Heiko Lowak received the silver badge of the association for over 20 years of active work on the SVW board as secretary or deputy secretary. In addition to the diploma and the badge of honor of the association, all the honored received a small gift from SVW, presented by President Matthias Schüßler.
Almost all of the club’s recreational sports groups then presented themselves on the sports ground with a small excerpt from their weekly offerings, an idea that was very well received by all festival visitors and was the best advertisement for popular sports in general, but SVW entertainment in particular the sports section.
The end of the sports program on the green lawn was a small tournament of the teams from Heidersbach, Limbach and the host SG Waldhausen / Laudenberg.
On Monday morning, the Bödigheim / Waldhausen primary school traditionally hosted its summer federal youth games at the sports ground in Waldhausen. The city and SVW rewarded the young athletes with a treat for their good performance.
The reception of the local companies and authorities was very nice again, because on Monday there was also a “full house” in the party tent at lunchtime.
The afternoon belonged to the children – Nicole Benz-Schuessler and her team provided fun and entertainment. The Volksbank Franken bouncy castle was also a popular place for children to play throughout the festival weekend.
