Matthias Lapp becomes CEO

The Stuttgart-based cable and connection specialist Lapp will be managed by the third generation from October 1, 2022 and will remain a family business.

The Lapp family business from Stuttgart will be managed by the third generation from October 1, 2022. Matthias Lapp (39), grandson of company founder Ursula Ida Lapp, takes over as CEO of Lapp Holding AG. His uncle Andreas Lapp (66), President of the Management Board, and his father Siegbert E. Lapp (69), Chairman of the Supervisory Board, leave the Lapp Group’s operations on September 30, 2022.

We have a strong strategy and we are well positioned to respond to the main problems of our time for our customers, for example in the areas of digitization and sustainability, ”emphasizes Matthias Lapp. A generational change in the global market leader for integrated solutions in the field of cable and connection technologies began in 2017, when Matthias Lapp became CEO of the largest LA EMEA region, which also includes important German business.
