Giovanni Zarrella is finally successful solo. Soon he will be singing German and international hits in Italian on the tour – we spoke to him.
Up, down and back – this is how you can roughly sum up Giovanni Zarrelli’s career. Huge successes with the casting team Bro’Sis (“I Believe”) preceded several solo flops and participation in TV documentaries such as “Jana Ina and Giovanni – We Are Pregnant” after their dissolution in 2006. The idea of singing German hits in Italian recently took the 42-year-old back to number one in the charts. Zarrella talked about the successful album “Ciao!”, The love of the Germans for Italo-Pop, as well as concert and television plans Patrick Friedland.
Giovanni Zarrella: It was fun, really fun. Completely spontaneous action. My bridesmaid wrote to me and then I thought, come on, you will do it, it was not the first time, I did it two years ago in Cologne. If the time is right and you’re around, no one will break a tooth from the crown to go there.
