In November 2021, YouTuber Max “HandOfBlood” Knabe aka Hänno announced that he wanted to form the LoL Eintracht Spandau team in esports. Since then, they have excited the Strauss Prime League. But Hänno wanted more and announced that he would win the EU Masters in 2 years. Now the play-offs are over.
What is Eintracht Spandau about?
- In his role as President Knabe, Hänno runs the Eintracht like a football club – including press conferences and public screenings at a local pub
- Fans love it, cheering for their team via Twitch and at public shows
- But not only the storytelling should play a role, but also the fun depiction should fit
- According to Hänno, they want to win the EU Masters in 2 years at the latest
- After a fairly modest summer split, Eintracht caught up again and won the big Berlin derby with BIG
- But against Schalke 04 in the playoffs it was over
In the video, we present the HandOfBlood LoL team:
After a strong start, they fail to take advantage of the advantage
Here’s how the play-offs work: There are up to 5 rounds, whoever wins at least 3 of them wins. Eintracht Spandau vs. Schalke 04 was exciting all the way to the end, even with the Royal Blues taking it to five wins.
This is how the game worked: Spandau presented himself strongly and confidently won the first match. On Eintracht’s Twitch channel, where Broeki’s internal streamer commented on the “Fan Mile” matches, they were sure of the victory:
So they were asked in the chat if they would prefer to win 3-0 or 3: 1. After all, there would be more satisfaction with the latter.
But in the second game, the tide turned around. Schalke picked up speed, they were able to win team fights again and again. They leveled and eventually took the lead in Game 3.
Eintracht played aggressively and entered the fights confidently. In this way, many risks were accepted that did not always pay off. However, Eintracht returned to the game in the fourth round.
They also managed to get an early advantage in a decisive fifth round. However, S04 grabbed an early buff from Baron and a gold lead. Eventually, they were able to secure their position in the top lane. In the end they won.
Why is it a pity? Elimination in the playoffs after reaching the Masters in the spring, even in the group stage, is particularly bitter. They would definitely like to continue that strong first season by moving back in.
An additional disappointment for fans is that there will now be no BIG derbies in the playoffs. Instead, they will take place on 09/08. ran against S04. One or the other fan might have come up with the idea of rooting for Berlin’s rivals at least once. (by Twitter)
Eintracht is bellicose
How they react: The day after the lost match, a hangover appeared on Eintracht Spandau’s official Twitter account.
But one is optimistic: the split was very nice after all, they fought to the end. They thank their fans for their support and ask them to show their players a lot of love as they would give anything. (by Twitter)
Battle announcement: “It was just the beginning” (via Twitter).
Would you give the victory to Hänno and his Eintracht, or was the defeat to Schalke 04 deserved? Will you follow the European Masters without Eintracht?
Playoffs for EU Masters qualification are also underway in France. Favorite Karmine Corp is now unavailable after a mixed season – despite having a legendary player in their starting roster.
