Andreas Gabalier’s concert in Munich: About 100,000 fans in Riem

strap – It was the beginning of three mega concerts. Self-proclaimed folk rock’n’roller Andreas Gabalier gave an open-air concert on Saturday at the Riem Exhibition Center in front of tens of thousands of fans. Two weeks later, on August 20, hits superstar Helene Fischer and on August 27 British pop star Robbie Williams.

Procedure and arrival: The open air area opens at 12 noon

The organizers, but also the city and MVG, expected chaos before the event. Due to the concert-goers, the frequency of metro trains was increased. According to the police, however, there was not much chaos on the roads until the concert began. This was only due to delays caused by some of the approaching drivers who were using their navigation system, not the traffic control system.

After the field, over 90,000 fans started their journey home, but there were also delays and longer waiting times.

Before Andreas Gabalier’s performance, the fire department had no significant deployments. Shortly after midnight, she reported several broken people at the shuttle station. Johanniter founded a medical station.

Weather: cool down before Andreas Gabalier’s concert

If it were still as hot on Saturday as it had been on the days before, there would likely have been even more collapses. But just in time for the concert day it cooled down. It was cloudy, but mostly dry. Luckily because umbrellas were not allowed on the grounds for security reasons. Sturdy shoes (there was no asphalt everywhere), sunscreen and rain poncho were recommended.

Andreas Gabalier: “I’ll give everything”

At high noon, Andreas Gabalier spoke on Instagram. On a selfie that was probably taken during the construction work, he wrote: “In deep gratitude, humility and a great anticipation for today, me and our 5,000-strong team will do ANYTHING for you !!”
