Julia Sude and Karla Borger easily won their first match at the European Beach Volleyball Championships. Another German duo lost.
Like a storm that whistles in your face and blows through all your senses – that’s how it has been described Karla Borger atmosphere on Tuesday morning when she was at the side of her block partner Julia Sude (34 / Düsseldorf) started the European Championship at home in the beach volleyball arena on the Königsplatz in the shadow of the Glyptothek. And so, after an easy 2-0 victory (21:13, 21:14) at the beginning of the group stage with the Ukrainians Evgenia Bayeva / Tatjana Lazarenko, the 33-year-old from Stuttgart used the momentum, a passionate request for a multisport in Munich – to organize the European Championship event, which also includes the European Beach Volleyball Championships.
